Jordan Hincks

What have you benefited from one on one training?  Jordan provides focus and encouragement.

What have you liked? After every session I am sore - not in an incapacitating way – but in a "YAY" way.

How long have you been with Kentuckiana personal trainers? Don't know. Please ask Becky to check her records.

What is your favorite part of exercising? UGH. I'd be a slug if I could.

Have you seen any difference in your body shape/weight? If so, where in particular? As 60 years loom, I just hope to "hold the line".

Have you changed anything about your lifestyle to incorporate fitness? Not really. I have tried to be reasonably fit all along.

Have you changed any of you meals/food plans over the course of time you've been exercising? Not really. I have tried to be reasonably healthy all along.

Overall, is Jordan Hincks a trainer you would recommend to anyone interested in fitness? Please explain why? YES!!! As I noted above Jordan provides focus and encouragement. Nothing like young enthusiasm and obvious results (for her) to be an inspiration.

What have you benefited from one on one training?

Finally meeting some goals.  Accountability. One-on-one is tailored to your specific needs

What have you liked? Foremost the accountability – I would not do it on my own or be as accountable if it was a group setting. Second, they teach you proper form so that you do not get hurt. Third, they keep you motivated to keep going.

How long have you been with Kentuckiana personal trainers? Almost one year.

What is your favorite part of exercising?  The stress relief and the overall health benefits.

Have you seen any difference in your body shape/weight? If so, where in particular?  Weight has changed only by 10 pounds over 1 year but body shape has changed.

Have you changed anything about your lifestyle to incorporate fitness?  Learning to eat better.

Have you changed any of you meals/food plans over the course of time you've been exercising? Yes. Jordan has been great in helping with that – especially incorporating more protein and less carbs.

Overall, is Jordan Hincks a trainer you would recommend to anyone interested in fitness? Please explain why?

Jordan is a phenomenal trainer because she holds you accountable, keeps you motivated, and changes it up so that you do not get bored with the same exercises.

Bob Keene / Patricia Reid

As a physician, I have always felt it was my personal responsibility to reflect a healthy lifestyle. One does not necessitate a medical degree, however, to know that adopting good habits for nutrition and physical activity while young makes for better quality of life as we age. I had participated in sports my entire life, and then, I found as I hit the over-50-year mark, I was more prone to injury, general aches and pains, had developed a serious piriformis muscle syndrome for which I was considering some intensive physical therapy or other more invasive interventions. I had also developed hypertension for which I was taking medication. I was needing a "jumpstart" in my usual routine along with advice on how to prevent injury. Thus, "Doctor, heal thyself"! I made some changes.

First, I contacted KPT, on the recommendation of my internist, and had my initial workout with Bob. By just 3-4 sessions, I was hooked! The workouts were challenging, varied and most of all fun. Within 1 month my piriformis syndrome had vanished. It is going on two years, we meet 2-3 times per week and it is the highlight of my week. We work on balance (so important as we get older!), core strength, targeting each muscle group in various ways. We also chat about nutrition and often share literature surrounding other health issues.

Secondly, I started doing pilates with Patricia. This is such a great adjunct to my other workouts., providing additional opportunity to increase my core strength. Pilates, to me, is similar to yoga but more "active" given the equipment used. I have seen great changes in my ability over the time spent in weekly sessions with Patricia.

The final change I made, with the support from both Bob and Patricia, was to begin a Paleo way of eating. I started this and noticed, that along with my new exercise routine, I was better focused during my day, slept better (and sleep is KING!), and lost a few pounds I had picked up in my early 50s. Best of all, with all of these changes, I was able to eliminate my anti-hypertensive medication completely!

I have been a passionate advocate for good healthy habits and certainly should be given my vocation, but all of us can learn more, do more and push ourselves to new levels. And @ any age! It is never too late. Bob and Patricia are such a huge part of my life. They are my coaches, my colleagues and best of all, my friends. It doesn't get much better than that!

Bob Keene

I have been working out with Bob Keene for over a year.

I am a big guy and have had to get through a few injuries unrelated to working out, but getting back on my feet and being motivated by Bob's positive attitude and outlook on life has really helped me get my priorities straight.  I have so far gone from 439 down to 413.  Only 13 more lbs for my first goal.

Bob's ability to work around some of my limitations is awesome.   It has kept me moving and motivated to get in the gym and stay busy all day. I look forward to every work out.

Thanks Bob for helping me get my priorities straight and for pushing me towards my goal.  I look forward to 200 lbs and because of you, I now have faith that not only is it possible but it is going to happen.
